Don't worry, it was just sleeping. I made Mami sit with me until we saw it move its head.
You guys! These islands are amazing... Everything is just so beautiful and the people are real friendly. And the beaches, wow, don't even get me started on the beaches. I know Mami and Papi haven't posted much here and they feel really bad about that but we were having such a good time every day! And we've seen so much from canyons to volcanos to whales. Let me show you some of it:
Papi kept saying that it looked like dinosaurs would live here but I didn't see any.No dinos but I did see a lot of helicopters fly around that day so that was almost as exciting.Yeah, that canyon was pretty neat.I have a feeling we're all going to miss the ocean most. Can someone wipe my nose please? That was a good day too...Hm, I don't get it...Morning walks with Mami. We saw whales. As you do...Everything was so clean and clear on the north shore of Kauai. This place was lovely but only one playground. Needs improvement. The best thing at the coffee farm was the place where we got to play at raking beans with really long rakes and some old beans. That was great! That beach was perfect. Rockpools, sand, big waves; it had it all.Another perfect ending to a perfect day.It was real dark in that cave but I wasn't afraid. SmallPaw was a bit afraid but then Mami gave her a flashlight and she was happy again.Once these two arrived our food consumption went way up. Good people. There was actually a sign next to this that said "Don't put hand in tank". I didn't think it looked like a fun thing to do anyway...Mami said that's a banana flower but it doesn't look anything like a banana so I don't know if she got that right.SmallPaw's teaching me how to fly.Another day, another sunset. We found the water fall!Bushwalk around the volcano. That was pretty exciting especially because we found all these really deep holes that I got to throw rocks into.Inside a lava tube. Lava actually flowed through here!See that plume of smoke in the distance? That's where a thick gush of lava flows straight into the ocean.Playing in the steam vents was awesome. So hot but so much fun.Different lava fields from various explosions. I'm kind glad I slept through most of this. Doesn't look that exciting...SmallPaw got to walk on a lava field.Looks pretty quiet during the day, right? Just smokin' a bit.At dusk it's already looking a bit more exciting though. And at night, whoa!
So yeah, Kauai and Big Island were awesome too. And now we're on Maui, our fourth and final island of the trip. We're going to visit a farm and see more beaches and maybe see some baby lambs too. Maybe I can convince Mami and Papi to stay a bit longer yet...
