Because you're gorgeous, I'd do anything for you... La la laaaa, la la... Anyone else remember that song?
Dear reader,
The title says it all really: that island stole my heart. And I bet it would take yours in a second too. Just look at this place!
Relaxing on our deck with some "Coco y Pio". Always a pleasure. That house behind us belongs to some guy named Armani. No idea who that is but apparently he doesn't like people on his beach. So of course we HAD to go there and check it out, haha. (NB: all beaches are public in Antigua.)I told you it was gorgeous, didn't I?!I picked some pretty flowers for you. From the floor. Where they've been crushed to death. But here, for you! Also, boats in a dockyard that is over 250 years old. Not bad if you're into boats. The view of English Harbour. Very pretty and all that.Ffreyes beach. Great recommendation tia Giulia. Thanks!Goats in the parking lot. We found these everywhere on the islands. Also learned to tell the difference between goats and sheep since they both don't have much hair here: goats' tails stand up, sheep tails hang down. Who knew?!There were a lot of churches everywhere. A LOT. But this was one of the pretty ones. Others looked like insurance offices. Sheesh...Another pretty church. Don't be afraid of color people!Ah, relaxing in the hammock after lunch at Catherine's Cafe. This is the life people!Let the breeze flow through your hair and the thoughts wander at will. Or something like that. It was lovely in any case.Sea shells and rocks. I'm all set. When the sun kisses the sea, that's beautiful. Alas, bed time is near. Sigh.Flying home in style. Get out of my picture Catering, you're ruining the whole mood!
So yes, I wish a little that I were still there. But it's nice to be back in Barcelona too. Where it's cold. And the wind blows. And there's no pool. Double Sigh Let's hope summer gets here soon...
