Not a Bad Town at All

The Japanese flower exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. Hell yeah!

Dear reader,

So, NEW YORK! The Big Apple! (I actually don't understand why they call it that. The apples in Japan where far bigger than those sold here. Another one of those non-sensical adult things, like nap time.) But ignoring the strange nickname, here are some of the things I love about this place:

Playgrounds on every block. Wheeeee!

I can swing for hours. Not sure how the authorities don't get bored out of their minds but not my problem.

Dogs everywhere!

That's how much they love their dogs here. And their coffee.

Fun museums, like the Museum of Mathematics. (No, really!)

And just a dab more red over here… Maybe some green next?
Hihi, Transportation is building a ball around me. Let's see if he can finish it.

The subway!

Waiting for the express train at 96th. I've gotten pretty good at memorizing all the different lines already.

And beautiful sunsets.

Is this not gorgeous? Who'd have thought they have pretty sunsets like that in a city?

Today was wonderfully sunny and the authorities were smart enough to come up with a good outing for me. We went to the New York Botanical Garden which is so far up in the north that it almost doesn't feel like the city anymore. The garden is so big that we took a train through parts of it, crazy.

So many pretty flowers everywhere.
The rocks and the dirt were pretty spectacular too. No one besides me seemed to appreciate that though. Hmpfh.
There was a pumpkin monster!
More pumpkins… What's up with that?
Seriously people, why are there pumpkins everywhere suddenly??

I'm going to have to do some investigating into that pumpkin phenomenon and will report back. Maybe it's nothing but I have a feeling I'm onto something here… Mark my words.

Till next time, dear reader!
