WHO HERE LOVES WORM ON THE STRING?????

(everyone better be raising their hands)

I have once more created a peak artistic masterpiece. I call it... The Werms. it is a hanging mobile/room decoration/demonized dream catcher. I will now show you the majestical artwork, and then explain my process. (sorry I don't have pictures for the process T-T)

okay now that's you have basked in its glory, time for the process!!!!!

Step one: Preparing the base First, you must go outside and found the perfect stick. Then, you must trim off all the branches of the side of it. I used a small pocket knife to make the cuts as clean as possible. Afterwards I used three flavors of sandpaper to make it nice and smooth (paint can now stick easily). It is important that you sand with first the very rough flavor, then the medium, and finally the fine. now, all that remains to complete the base is to cut down the stick to a preferable size. I used the same pocket knife for this. (with some help :3 ).

Step Two: Paint!!! Now for the fun part! I first used a glittery paint marker to mark out where the colors will blend and fade. then I started with some tempera paint to make a rough first pass, not worrying about the blending, just trying to figure out the color ratios. since the green was right on a little knot of the log, it looked much shorter than the other colors so I extended that a bit. once I had the front and back colors done, I started blending (just a lot of dry brushing really) and then waited for that to dry. After adding enough layers that the paint was opaque and I was satisfied with the ombre, IT'S GLITTER TIME!!! I used like 3 layers of glitter glue, to give it that .+'Sparkle'+. Now, Worms!

Step three: Decor For attaching the worms, I tied a knot where I wanted them and then secured that knot with a dab of hot glue. I also made a little bead string in the middle and tied it on the same way. I had previously made a Kandi star, and thought I would be cute to tie it to the corner. For a final touch, I hot glued on some letter beads spelling out: The Werms now it was done!

I'm planning to attach it by some picture frame like strings to hang it in my room, so the terms may protect me from evil. Thanks for reading!
