And Now for Something Completely Different

Early morning stop by the Belvedere. A good place to start.

I'm not even going to pretend that I've been meaning to write but simply didn't make it. Because who am I kidding at this point? I've just gotten lazy. I'M SORRY! But there has been some major stuff happening here with the Paws and you're probably not going to believe it but we're thinking about settling. (!!!) I know, I know, it's shocking. Believe me, we're still trying to convince ourselves that this is the right thing to do indeed. But for now, the lucky town is drum roll: Vienna!

Or at least that's what we decided more or less on a whim a few months ago. But something was definitely set in motion in our heads and our plans and after a lot of other stuff happening we finally managed to come to the city and check it out. Oh, you thought we knew the city? No, not really. But that's part of the appeal. :)

So we're on a quick two-week tour of Vienna right now, checking out different neighborhoods and real estate to see if we might fit in somewhere. So far, so good...

It's daunting to think about all the stuff we have to do to stay in one place (and you thought traveling was hard) and don't even get me started on finding an apartment but it's also exciting to think about all the 'new' things we'll be able to do once we're settled: get our stuff out of storage, have friends come to visit, work! (Although the excitement of that last one might wear off quickly...)

Anyway, here are a few impressions from our first week in Vienna. And if you have any tips about the city, let us know please!

Oh the excitement of breakfast in bed. On a train!
Grumpy and a bit dirty from the night train
Beautiful fall colors are all part of the seduction. We get it Vienna, you're charming.

Trains! Cars! Ambulances! If it were up to him, we'd move to this exact apartment.
Waterplay at the playground. That pretty much sealed the deal for him I think.
But it sure is pretty...
