Classes have started, the good weather has given way to a few showers and we’re starting to get into a routine here in Berlin. Which doesn’t mean we’re not tourists anymore. Thanks to our friends Henri and Kalle we got to go on a riverboat tour through the city which albeit smelly (from the river) was a fun way to spend an hour and see the city from a different angle.
The dome
The Reichstag building, seat of the German government. Can't wait to go up into the glass dome.
The island of museums, literally an island in the river Spree that has some of the most important museums of the city on it.
The Nikolai church, the oldest church in Berlin.
Some cars from a ralley Moscow - Berlin were parked around the church.
The world clock on Alexanderplatz.
These are Stolpersteine, literally stumbling stones, placed in front of houses and buildings where Jews had lived during the war. They show the name, date and where the person died.
